What happens in a Kids' Ear Clinic homeopathic consultation?
The Kids’ Ear Clinic operates on Saturdays at the Manuka Health Centre in Hector street, Petone. The first time you come we will book one hour to get to know you/your child and gather all the information we need to make a good prescription. Follow-up appointments last up to half an hour.
A unique strength of the Kids’ Ear Clinic is that two homeopaths are present to take the case together. We believe this is one of the biggest keys to our success. You or your child get the benefit of two minds working towards that overall target – improved health and wellbeing.
We try to collect most of the background information through our questionnaire. We can expand on or discuss this on the day but mainly we are trying to learn about your child's personality, their likes and dislikes, how they react to strangers and what kind of activities they like to do etc.
We will generally examine the ears and if we can we like to feel the hands and feet of your child.
The first consultation is very comprehensive and many parents experience relief that finally someone is interested in their child and not just in prescribing a standard medicine. If you feel uncomfortable talking about your child in front of them, let us know – we are happy to arrange a time to talk on the phone or for you to email us information that might be useful for prescribing. The more information we have, the more likely you are to have “amazing” results.
