Meet the Homeopaths

VISH

Vish (Natarajan Viswanathan) experienced the benefits of homeopathy growing up in India , where it is viewed as mainstream healthcare. He studied homeopathy to bring a benefit to our community which is commonplace in India.

“I view homeopathy as a complementary therapy that can co-exist with other forms of treatment. It can benefit society by reducing health spending overall, as it addresses the causes of problems and thus obviates the need for repeated treatments.”

Vish also works as an IT professional and has two teenage daughters.

MEGAN MARTIN

Megan graduated from Sydney College of Homeopathic Medicine in 2001. This followed from a lifetime interest in homeopathy after her mother took her to a homeopath as a child, with amazing results.

Having travelled extensively Megan is now practising from Ngaio and is mother to four little munchkins!

“I feel very lucky to be part of a talented group of people making a difference in healthcare for children.”

JENNIE McMURRAN

Having a healthy and active lifestyle with many happy hours spent in the great outdoors sparked Jennie’s long-standing interest in what it means to be truly healthy. This led her to begin practicing homeopathy and passing her knowledge on to others.

“I love working at the Kids' Ear Clinic. It is gratifying to see the speed at which healing can occur in babies and children, and the positive impact this has on the whole family.”

Jennie also practises from the Ngaio Natural Health Centre and from Tui Health Associates in central Wellington. Jennie's professional background is in natural resource management and public policy.

KRISTEN BIRCH

After witnessing what appeared to be a miracle cure when her brother was treated with homeopathy, Kristen, a registered nurse, decided to try it for herself. Having worked in some of the world's leading hospitals and observing the benefits of natural and mainstream medicine working alongside each other, it became clear to her that homeopathy was the one modality she wanted to specialise in.

“It is crucial for me that I am passionate about my work and I am very lucky to be working with like-minded homeopaths. I believe this is reflected in the success of the Kids' Ear Clinic.”

Kristen practises both homeopathy and nursing at the Manuka Health Centre.

CHRISTINE KENO – Homeopath, RC Hom, Dip Hom

Christine studied with the Wellington College of Homeopathy. She has an NZQA National Diploma of Homeopathy and is a registered homeopath with the NZ Council of Homeopaths.

“I feel honoured to be part of such a hard-working team dedicated to children’s wellness. In the clinic it is wonderful to see the whole family involved in the pursuit of their child’s optimum health.”

Christine is Wellington born and bred and is married with two children. She runs two other successful clinics; one in Upper Hutt and the other at the Twig Centre in Lower Hutt.

JAN CLARE

Jan’s interest in health lead her to initially qualify as a pharmacist, and she has worked in hospital and community pharmacy for 25 years. She became intrigued with homeopathy when her 2 year old daughter’s cough was cured after many weeks of illness that conventional medicines had not been able to help.

“We had tried everything and so when homeopathy was suggested by a friend, we thought we might as well give it a go. We couldn’t believe how quickly the remedy worked. Within hours of taking a single dose the cough disappeared and her energy returned. From then on the whole family began using homeopathy with great success.”

“I feel privileged to be working with a dedicated group of professionals at the Kids Ear Clinic and to have the opportunity to introduce individuals and families to the profound benefits of homeopathy.”

Jan trained at the Wellington College of Homeopathy and is registered with the NZ Council of Homeopaths. In addition to her homeopathic work she helps to administer the professional development programme for the Pharmaceutical Society of NZ.
